We got this anonymous tip at GreenCine, from someone working on A SCANNER DARKLY, and I thought it worthy of re-posting here, even though, as David notes, it's unsubstantiated*:
"[ed.: which is by the talented Graham Reynolds, so I'd feel bad in a way if this is true].The producers have approached RADIOHEAD about doing a new score for the film and it looks like everything is going to go through. So in addition to an awesome animated Phillip K. Dick film, we will have a brand new Radiohead score to look forward to. as far as I know, this is the first time Radiohead has ever done a score for the film. While this is still a 'rumor' at this time, I would give it a 99% positive that its happening at this point. Right now the last of the papers just need to get inked."
*so don't go getting your cyberpunkundies in a bunch if it turns out to be wrong. Either way, I'm greatly looking forward to the film. This scooper also reported:
"Also, I've seen the new trailer for the film and it is absolutely outstanding. [the trailer] should be hitting the web any time now."
Update: (Wiley Wiggins says "Looks like they were approached but were already recording their new album and had to decline.")
