I have to pass this on, not only because I work for GreenCine, but just because it's pretty cool:
On Tuesday, GreenCine will become the first vendor to simultaneously offer a film for purchase, Rent-by-Mail and On-Demand the same day the film is made available on DVD. After signing a groundbreaking licensing agreement with Zealot Pictures and Heretic Films, GreenCine customers will be able to buy 24 Hours on Craigslist, rent the movie through GreenCine’s Rent-by-Mail service, or download the film from GreenCine’s Video-on-Demand library (VOD).
It's a milestone for filmmakers, content owners and distributors - three distinct, concurrent revenue streams for their films. GreenCine's now more "format agnostic" (buy, rent or download).
Even if the film isn't all perfect, it's still fun, especially for anyone (which is just about all of us) who has spent any time on the C'list.
