Many months ago, this blog basically went dormant. Teams of historians and researchers have asked, "Why? Where did its creator go? How did they just suddenly disappear? Was it a plague?"
Well, not really, but the boring answer (and most of you who follow me on Twitter or know me personally already know this) is: I got a job. And part of that job involves writing (and editing) and blogging. I've been working for ITVS (Independent Television Service), including editing and writing the blog for Independent Lens, the PBS documentary series that ITVS produces.
Which is great. I love it. But it keeps me rather busy, and doesn't leave much time (or energy in my brain) for much outside writing.
And whatever time I've had leftover for that, I've spent working on a new spec screenplay for an independent producer and director. The first draft took longer than I'd hoped, again in part because of time spent working, but after 6 months or so the first draft is complete.
While it's unlikely I'll be posting here constantly all of a sudden, I do hope to revive this a bit with a weekly post or so. Including one tomorrow for a "blog-a-thon." More soon.
